The Far Away Sun

A story delving into the delicate dance between man and monster in one's self.

In 2025, Katie took residency in Dublin Theatre Festival's Slingshot in partnership with Creative Europe, developing this new theatre production through use of binaural technology, movement and written text.

​

Katie's aim as a maker is to bridge the gap between spectator and performer by considering an audiences sensory systems, alongside dramaturgical focus on sound — creating a sensorial pull between memory, imagination and reality in the mind of a monster.

​

Funded by Arts Council Ireland, the play premiered in Project Arts Centre as part of Dublin Fringe Festival 2026.
